Library Priorities and Values

2021: The Year Ahead
Guiding Values:  connection | learning | kindness | responsiveness | reading | fun | ingenuity

2021 priorities:

To provide high quality services, programs, and collections to the residents of the Town of Stratham in traditional, new, and innovative ways and places.

To maintain safety precautions consistent with state and local guidance in the library building and while providing library services.  

To provide opportunities for members of the community to interact with each other whether virtually, off-campus, face-to-face, or a combination.

To make considered decisions as the foundation for post-Covid operations design maximizing our strengths and inviting new ways of doing and thinking.

2021 goals:

Getting the library doors open! Resume open access to the library building during hours convenient to the community.

Studying building/space in current and near-future contexts. Plan for more flexibility, hybrid approach to programs and other services.

Develop library services that happen outside the library building.

Examine all existing virtual library access and service opportunities and create development and management plans for budget allocation.

Redesign internal roles, responsibilities, positions. Hire Assistant Director.

Invest in community/library planning conversations, inquiries, and surveys. Learn what has changed, is changing, and may change in the lives of our residents and how the library can be a part of their best quality-of-life.
