Privacy Practices

Privacy Practices:

Digital/Online: The Library does not collect, maintain, or otherwise use the personal information stored on any third party site in any way other than to communicate library-related information with users on that site. Users may remove themselves at any time from the Library's social media pages or other online library registrations, or request that the Library remove them. Users should be aware that third party websites have their own privacy policies and should act accordingly. Users are encouraged to protect their privacy by not posting personally identifying information, such as last name, school, age, phone number, or address.

Confidentiality of Library Records: New Hampshire State law (RSA 201-D:11) states in part: "Library records which contain the names or other personal identifying information regarding the users of public or other than public libraries shall be confidential and shall not be disclosed except as provided in paragraph II. Such records include, but are not limited to, library, information system, and archival records related to the circulation and use of library materials or services, including records of materials that have been viewed or stored in electronic form."
